MLB + PGA = National Guard Whores?

A couple of weeks ago an enterprising reporter discovered that the National Guard had been paying NFL teams hundreds of thousands of dollars per year each to put on those fascistic military spectacles during the games.  Last night I caught part of the New York Mets-St. Louis Cardinal game and the Mets were wearing camouflage uniforms with the New England Yankee war symbol (a.k.a. U.S. flag) on the sleeve.  Then there’s the PGA, with the war symbol on the flag on at least one hole, with a “soldier” holding it for the players, and a gigantic special tent on the grounds “for veterans only.”  Makes me wonder if all this “patriotism” at sporting events is also the result of bribery with tax dollars.  (Message to young golfers and baseball players:  quit practicing and dreaming of becoming a pro athlete; join the military and become cannon fodder for the empire instead.  People will clap for you at sporting events — especially if you show up with an arm and/or leg missing.  Why, you may even be invited to be on “Dancing with the Stars“!).
