Believe it or not, there is nothing in my book that touches either the Altright or white nationalism. The attempts at historical revisionism have to do with World War One, Polybius’s understanding of the Punic Wars, and recent attacks on Pius XI for concluding the Lateran Agreements with the Italian fascist state in 1929. Why is it morally improper to discuss these topics?Reading the Forward makes me nostalgic for the traditional Communist Left. The Old Left didn’t seem as psychotically paranoid as its more unhinged successors.
