Rand at Bat

“[Rand] Paul’s dedication to the game makes sense when you learn that his father, the former Texas representative Ron Paul, is a member of the Congressional Baseball Hall of Fame. In seven career games (all preceding his own three Presidential runs), the elder Paul hit .294, with six runs scored and six R.B.I.—including the first over-the-fence home run in the game’s history.”

BTW, Ron’s Congressional baseball career was achieved despite two badly damaged knees. Without those, who knows how well he would have done. Of course, without those, he would probably have been offered a chance to play in the big leagues, possibly changing American history.
