This Patrick Bet David interview of Oliver Stone isn’t new – it was conducted on March 11, 2022 but I had never seen it before and it is very interesting and relevant to today. The filmmaker fought in Vietnam and as a result became an ardent pro-peace activist in his films and communications. Stone talks about how as a young man his depression led him to enlist in the Vietnam War thinking he might as well have a noble reason to hide behind in case he got killed. He talks about JFK – the assassinated president and his film, my favorite docudrama. Stone’s observations about Russia, Putin, NATO, the continuing proxy war in Ukraine, the neocons and war propaganda are prescient. Link to interview:
