Jennifer Rubin Praises Libertarian Ticket

Writes Tho Bishop:

While Bill Kristol is busy trying to sell a possible David French candidacy as something other than the joke it is, the new Libertarian Party ticket has earned the praise of another prominent DC neo-con: Jennifer Rubin.

The newly minted LP ticket is only a week old, but Rubin has already written numerous articles celebrating the un-dynamic duo.

Rubin loves that “Johnson eschews some of the wackier Libertarian positions — e.g. he favors drivers licenses and the Civil Rights Act (!),” and believes that “Gary Johnson and William Weld may prove more formidable than pundits expect.”

Meanwhile, Johnson’s endorsement of open borders has her giddy:

One of the most positive results of Libertarian Gary Johnson’s presidential run will be forceful attacks from the right on Donald Trump’s counterproductive and dishonest arguments against immigration reform.

Johnson can be the one to make good on the Republican National Committee’s 2012 autopsy….RNC chairman Reince Priebus was so proud of that report. At least there is now a presidential candidate on the right to deliver the message.

Rubin has also taken up the cause of defending the Johnson-Weld duo from social conservatives who have criticized vocal defense of abortion:

It’s understandable that social conservatives are frustrated, but attacks on Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson verge on comical….Johnson and Weld are astute judges of the electorate.

Rubin has admitted that she hopes Johnson will “evolve” to endorse a more hawkish foreign policy, but since all it took was a Kony 2012 Facebook video to convince him the US should intervene in Africa, she may very well get her wish.

It’s only a matter of time before Bill Kristol follows suit.
