Expression of Gratitude

Writes Emily:

Dear Lew,

I know you have plenty to occupy your time, and emails from strangers is a low priority, but I felt compelled to contact you and let you know how grateful I am for the work you have been/are doing.

My father introduced me to LRC in 2003, when I was a high school senior/college freshman. Your website expanded my mind and kept me sane during 4 years at Hillsdale College, in a sea of pro-war neocons who chose Mitt Romney to speak at our 2007 commencement. I learned more from the great writers at LRC than all of high school and college.

LRC introduced me to Rothbard, the Mises Institute, Tom Woods, Lawrence Vance, and Ron Paul (I distinctly remember reading his LRC articles and going, “How is this guy in the US Congress???”). I witnessed LRC economic predictions come true in the 2008 crash and finally went full ancap.

With a few exceptions, I tended to dismiss some of the more natural-health articles on LRC. Then I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and experienced two recurrences that defied conventional medical expertise.

I began to dig through the LRC archives, particularly Bill Sardi’s articles, to find other treatment options. It’s astonishing and infuriating to see how much is concealed from the corporate press and the medical industrial complex. But I did find some options that gave me renewed optimism and empowerment.

It’s too early to tell if the supplements I’m taking (with chemotherapy) have made a difference, but I pray and hope for the best. At the very least, I felt like I had more options after being backed into a hopeless, fearful corner, and that makes a big difference by itself.

Thank you for what you do. Thank you for your willingness to be controversial, to speak truth, to support life and liberty. May our Lord bless you and keep you and your family.
