Writes Patrick Foy:
Here is a link to Amnesty International’s investigation dated December 5th, exactly a month ago.
Here is the important part for Americans: “States that continue to transfer arms to Israel at this time must know they are violating their obligation to prevent genocide and are at risk of becoming complicit in genocide. All states with influence over Israel, particularly key arms suppliers like the USA and Germany, but also other EU member states, the UK and others, must act now to bring Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza to an immediate end.”
Apparently Joe Biden and his inner foreign policy circle know no such thing. Yesterday, the Financial Times informed us:
Joe Biden’s administration has provisionally approved $8bn in new weapons for Israel in a last-minute show of support for the US president’s close ally after more than a year of war in Gaza.
The State Department disclosed the sale to Congress late on Friday in what is known as an informal notification, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Axios first reported on the planned sale, which includes $6.75bn in precision guided missiles and small bombs, $300mn in 155mm artillery shells, $600mn in Hellfire missiles and $300mn in Amraam air-to-air missiles, according to one of the people familiar with the matter.
The flow of lethal and sophisticated arms has effectively been non-stop. This same Financial Times posted a creampuff interview over the weekend with Antony Blinken, the Jewish Zionist U.S. Secretary of State. The took place at Central Michel Richard, an upscale French bistro in Washington. No mention of genocide by the interviewer.
According to Blinken, “The challenge is to translate the current situation [in the Middle East] into a positive and enduring outcome and to provide the best possible hand to the Trump administration so that they can take the baton….”
