Why Was the U.S. Government Funding “Dangerous and Cruel” Animal Experiments . . .

. . . in China?  During his Saturday press conference Trump complained about this, and said “we’re looking into it.”  The $3.7 million mentioned in the article was spent six years ago.  The grantor was one Anthony Fauci and his governmental infectious disease operation.

The research in China that Fauci was funding with U.S. taxpayers’ money is called “gain of function” research that produces “COVID pandemic superbugs.”  Experiments with animals produce more and more lethal viruses. Fauci himself mentioned this in one of the Trump press conferences last week after a reporter asked him about reports that the coronavirus may have come from the Wuhan lab that his grants had subsidized.  His very short answer was to mention a forthcoming academic publication by “evolutionary virologists” on “gain-of-function” viruses in bats that he said somehow proved that the virus came from bats and not the lab.  He very quickly and oddly left the podium after saying that, avoiding any follow-up questions, which yours truly thought was suspicious.  Fauci was not present during Trump’s Saturday press conference.  Hmmmm.
