Trump just renewed his agreement to a debate on Trump-deranged ABC with George Stupidopoulos on September 10 (this time with Kamala Harris instead of Biden). Yes, the same network and anchor that Trump filed a defamation suit against on March 19 over their bogus claim that a court had concluded that Trump had raped author E. Jean Carroll. (On July 24, a federal judge ruled that the case had enough validity to proceed.) Yes, the same ABC that sent Rachel Scott to the NABJ convention to viciously attack Trump.
Would Kamala Harris ever go on Hannity? Not in a million years. She’s a dim bulb, but what it does it say about Trump when she’s at least smart enough to avoid obvious traps but he isn’t?
After the departure of Biden, there was simply no need for Trump to return to ABC where the agreement was to debate Biden, not Harris. All he had to do was pitch two debates, one on NBC and another on Fox and stipulate that it’s both or nothing. Harris would have been forced to accept at least one potentially hostile venue. Now she’s completely off the hook through the election. Way to go, Strategy Ace Don.
The reckless decisions suggest that Trump alone is the one ultimately calling the shots. LaCivita, Wiles, and Jason Miller are just cutouts collecting paychecks.
