Watergate’s Known Unknowns, by Jim Hougan Jim Hougan is one of my favorite authors, an impeccable investigative journalist and diligent researcher. He is a former Washington editor of Harper’s Magazine, and the brilliant author of two of the most remarkable books I have ever read:  Secret Agenda: Watergate, Deep Throat, and the CIA, and Spooks: The Haunting of America —The Private Use of Secret Agents. Writing with his late wife under the pseudonym “John Case,” he is the author of seven novels, including The Genesis Code and Kingdom Come.
