The Deep State and the November 22, 1963 Coup d’état

On November 22, 1963, a coup d’état by Lyndon Johnson and the highest echelons of the National Security State was accomplished with the brutal murder of President John F. Kennedy. What happened on that tragic, fateful day led to perhaps the single most important series of events affecting the subsequent history of our nation. It lies at the inner most depth, the dark clotted heart, of what observers now describe as the Deep State.

Two soon-to-be released books will further substantiate and authoritatively document these unseasonable facts. They are The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government, by David Talbot; and Dallas ’63: The First Deep State Revolt Against the White House, by Peter Dale Scott. These upcoming volumes will join that distinguished body of research speaking truth to power composed of JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters, by James W. Douglass; JFK’s War with the National Security Establishment: Why Kennedy Was Assassinated, by Douglas Horne; Regime Change: The JFK Assassination, by Jacob Hornberger; and The Kennedy Autopsy, by Jacob Hornberger.

One can only imagine how Murray Rothbard or Carl Oglesby would be today rejoicing in light of the revelations these undaunted researchers have uncovered. They were libertarian pioneers in seeing the seminal importance of JFK assassination research in understanding and indicting the monstrosity called the Deep State. That heroic libertarian legacy must continue.
