Speaking at the Faith & Freedom Coalition in Washington, D.C., the latest Christian messiah who is going to save America, Donald Trump (I remember when it was George W. Bush), endorsed displaying the Ten Commandments in schools and elsewhere. He “drew cheers as he invoked a new law signed in Louisiana this week requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom.” First of all, what is someone with the moral failings of Trump doing speaking at the Faith & Freedom Coalition? But to my point, although I am a culturally and theologically conservative Christian, I have never understood the obsession of some conservative Christians with the posting of the Jewish Ten Commandments in public schools, as I pointed out last year.
