Why all the hysteria because Google agreed to Chinese restrictions on its search engine?
I wish the Chinese government had abolished itself rather than merely drastically cutting its size and power. Any government meddling in private business is terrible. But if Google can make a profit, it should. The Chinese people will be benefited by access to the world’s greatest search engine, even if it is restricted access.
Neo and other cons foam at the mouth over increasing Chinese freedom and prosperity. Google will contribute to both, and make money in the process. All hail the market!
