As I cooked some lamb for Shepherd’s Pie last night,  I reflected that the dish offers a witheringly accurate analogy to government.

Meanwhile, my friend Jake related his conversation with one of Hitlery’s fans. Jake was defining “democracy” for Mr. Fan, using the well-known trope of two wolves and a sheep deciding what’s for lunch. Mr. Fan said it’s even worse now: American sheep are actually voting with and for the wolves.

Intriguing, given Mr. Fan’s preferred candidate.
