Senator Heinrich’s Propaganda

The junior Democrat from New Mexico, Martin Heinrich, attacks Trump with utter disregard for truth. Anti-Trumpers are going to repeat his kinds of lies incessantly in order to gain votes in 2020.

The transcript of his remarks in the cited article shows one lie, falsehood, distortion, false conclusion, false characterization, exaggeration, and misleading statement after another.

Start with this whopper: “President Donald Trump has lost the trust of the nation he swore to protect and defend.” This is wrong. Polls do not show this.

Next: “…there was rampant criminality surrounding President Trump’s campaign and his administration.” False. If this were true, we’d have seen Mueller’s pattern of indictments making worldwide headlines concerning real crimes of real criminals in the campaign who really broke campaign laws. Mueller didn’t do this. Heinrich is lying.

As proof, Heinrich writes “…the Special Counsel’s team indicted or got guilty pleas from 34 individuals and three companies.” True, but irrelevant and misleading. Why? Who were these 34? Going to a convenient article in VOX: “That group is composed of six former Trump advisers, 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer.” The 29 Russian instances are cosmetic indictments, and they definitely do not involve the Trump campaign help, instigation, collusion, financing, approval or anything else.

If the other 6 had done anything wrong that’s related or tied to Trump, we would have heard about it a long time ago and Heinrich would mention it. He doesn’t, because he’s smearing Trump with false allegations. The VOX article lists the 6 and what they did or are charged with.

Heinrich is smearing Trump. There is no way in the world for Heinrich to make a case against Trump based on these 6 cases. (1) George Papadopolous. A fringe player who was set up by the FBI. (2) Roger Stone. A political operative whose faux “crime” revolves around an accusation that he dealt with WikiLeaks. (3) and (4). Paul Manafort and Rick Gates. Manafort has been convicted of some past financial crimes that do not reflect upon Trump’s campaign at all. Gates was a junior partner to Manafort and took a plea deal. (5) Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI. His false statements were unnecessary, because the FBI had taped his phone calls. His calls themselves to the Russian ambassador were not proven to be criminal. Proving this would be challenging because Trump had been elected and Flynn was the incoming National Security Advisor. (6) Michael Cohen. He’s pleaded guilty to bank and tax charges.

Back to Heinrich: “Indisputable intelligence has established that a systematic, wide-ranging Russian election interference operation aimed to bolster President Trump’s campaign.” None of this intelligence has been made public. Proof linking Russian activity to the Kremlin is unavailable. We do not know that any of what occurred was “wide-ranging”. We do not know its aim, which may have been monetary by generating clickbait. Whatever happened or didn’t that’s associated with Russians, Trump was not responsible for it.

Heinrich: “Many in the Trump orbit, including Donald Trump himself, openly sought to benefit from and even encouraged Russia’s interference in our election.” This is a lie. Trump made a sarcastic joke about Clinton’s e-mails. If those in Trump’s orbit did what Heinrich charges, why has Mueller cleared the campaign of collusion?

Heinrich: “The president and his team then repeatedly lied to the American people and tried to cover up these reckless and criminal activities.” This echoes Adam Schiff’s phony charges.

Heinrich is the reckless one. He’s the one making the reckless charges.

The Democrats leading the charge against Trump are launching a campaign of BIG LIES. The first sets of lies, those of the past 2 years, differed. They accused Trump of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, etc. These are new lies now polluting the media.
