just read Nate’s comments you posted on LRC. At the end he said “secession is the only way.” I can’t tell you how many people I’ve heard that from in the past two weeks. Some in my circle say that even if Trump somehow ends up in the White House four more years, it will just delay the inevitable. What is a people to do when there are no more avenues of redress or relief, when we’ve been told to accept and live a lie? If it’s unconstitutional to steal an election but they do it anyway, then it’s no more unconstitutional to form a new nation, made up of the people from whom it was stolen.
Unconstitutionality isn’t the problem; rather, Marxists who lust to bully all the world won’t let us live free without a savage war. We’ll have to fight tooth and claw for our lives and liberty.
Trump is at the peak of his popularity and could muster a formidable opposition. I think his supporters are just waiting for his cue.
But what a danger that could be! Popular rulers throughout history have degenerated into despots because power always corrupts.
How much better for Americans to rise in defense of freedom rather than of a mere man! And they very well may, though few of them would phrase it that way: rather, they’ll say they’re battling for their children or their way of life (thanks to Bill Martin for alerting me to this brave patriot and his bullhorn!).
