Laurence, Brahma is one of three Hindu gods, said to have been either hatched from an egg made of gold or emerged from the navel of one of the other gods.  He is said to have four heads (and four arms), which is probably why a two-faced politician like Pelosi had that faux preacher pray to him at the opening of congress.  He also had several wives, which of course would be appealing to the Harvey Weinstein/Bill Clinton wing of the Democrat party and perhaps the Mitt Romney wing of the Republican party.
