Mayor Bill de Blasio is applauding over 30 businesses in New York City that have announced they are now requiring proof of vaccination for entry as part of the city’s ‘Key to NYC’ program.
Over 200,000 small businesses languish in deBlabbio’s dystopia, so that’s a woefully microscopic start. Meanwhile, what of the corporations that call the place home? (I was unable to find a date on the report listing that figure of 200,000; it may be from several years ago, before deBlabbio and Killer Cuomo crushed the Big Apple into vinegar. In that case, the figure may have shrunk. But even if did by as much as half, the point stands.)
A word to those entrepreneurs who are resisting this evil: stand firm and enjoy your whopping profits! Can you believe thirty businessmen are stupid enough to exclude 44% of their market? (And even then, there are loopholes: “Some restaurants are only requiring proof of vaccination for indoor diners, some also accept recent negative COVID-19 tests, and others are requiring proof of vaccination plus mandatory mask-wearing while not eating or drinking.”)
Indeed, this is such a stellar idea that DeBlabbio will force restaurants and bars to adopt it by August 16. Way past time to run this tyrant out of town on a rail.
