The recent murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson brought forth all sorts of denunciations from progressives about the dysfunctions of the “free-market, for-profit” U.S. health-care system. In the wake of yesterday’s news that, contrary to earlier speculation, Thompson’s killer Luigi Mangione was not only never a policyholder at United, never had an insurance claim denied, and had successful back surgery that relieved his pain, we get this gem tonight from regime NBC.
