The vast majority of the American public are painfully unaware that from the Reagan era through the Clinton administration years, former Vice President Dick Cheney (even while not in government) was a key player in one of the most covert and secretive operations of the United States  — preparations for Continuity of Government (COG) — the clandestine program designed to set aside the United States Constitution and the legal lines of presidential succession and immediately install a new “President” in the event of a national emergency.

So why did Cheney choose this particular time to say that Russia’s alleged interference in the U.S. presidential election could be interpreted by some as an “act of war”?

“There was a very serious effort made by Mr. Putin and his government, his organization, to interfere in major ways with our basic, fundamental democratic processes,” Cheney said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “In some quarters that would be considered an act of war.”

Cheney’s statement comes at a time when both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives intelligence committees are investigating alleged Russian meddling in the election that brought President Donald Trump to power.

Is a Coup d’état  against President Trump and Vice President Pense based on already existing presidential executive orders, declared national emergencies, and Congressional statutes regarding Continuity of Government in preparation?
