N.J.P writes to me that he was in the military from 1968-1971. He wants everyone to know the following:

I agree with EVERYTHING you say, and when I admit to anyone (Americans or others) that I was in the military, I apologize for it. I was drafted, but that does NOT alleviate my guilt. I shot or bombed or bombarded no one, but that does not alleviate my guilt. Had I not been IN the military, had I only paid my US taxes, that would not alleviate my guilt. Perhaps you share my guilt. If so, I’m in good company.
