A Baltimore policeman who called in to a WCBM Radio talk show this morning thinks so. He said that in Baltimore, the city with the highest murder rate, the local government picks up at least 300 dead bodies a year that it mislabels as victims of “suicide” or “death by natural causes” despite being riddled with bullet holes and/or knife wounds. That would almost double the reported murder rate in the city.
UPDATE: Another caller to the radio station said that he was in town visiting relatives and decided to drive over to his childhood home where he grew up. A police cruiser quickly pulled up along side him and the officer said “What are you doing here?” After a brief explanation the officer said “you need to get out of here. I’ll escort you out. This is the most dangerous neighborhood in the city.”
