McConnell resigned last week as Senate Minority Leader. This forces a vote in the current Senate. The winner is very likely to be the Senate Majority Leader in January. DC RINOs are pushing Thune or Cornyn as Minority Leader, and wanted to do a secret vote. Trump is pushing Scott for Minority Leader.

Thune and Cornyn are neocons on foreign policy and have been openly hostile to Trump in the past. By Ron Paul standards, Scott is rather average. But Scott has promised to expedite Trump’s appointments to the Cabinet, including recess appointments.

It looked like the DC RINOs would do an end run, as early vote projections showed Scott in third place. But now Thune is dropping out and supporting Scott!

The MAGA/MAHA movement is still alive at the grassroots. We are demanding our Senators support Scott and run an open vote for Senate Minority Leader. Let’s know who is supporting the Trump reform efforts and who needs immediate removal at the next primary opportunity.
