Hi Walter, It’s been awhile; so I hope all is well! I don’t think I have asked this before; or I did at the Mises Seminar Australia 2012 when you were here; and I have forgotten the answer. When did you come up with the Evictionist position? And was Rothbard aware of it? His thoughts? Was it ever discussed with him? Cheers MC
Dear MC:
It was great to meet you in Australia. Your libertarian movement there is a very strong one.
See attached: Block, Walter. Forthcoming. “Abortion Once Again; a response to Feser, Goodwin, Mosquito, Sadowsky, Vance and Watkins.” Journal of Constitutional Research (Brazil)
My first publication on evictionism was in 1977. Murray disagreed with me. I thought that human life began with the fertilized egg; he, with birth. I maintain that birth is a mere change of address. I did indeed discuss it with him. My position, and his critique of it appeared in Libertarian Forum, 1977, see specifics below.
Here are my publications and speeches on abortion, pro life, pro choice, evictionism, followed by critiques of this view, followed by my responses to these critiques:
