Down The Orwellian Memory Hole

Because of the unusual (and often controversial) blogs I post at LRC dealing with subjects of hidden history and power elite analysis, I get a great deal of wonderful emails from our readers/viewers congratulating me on bringing to their attention these matters that court historians and the regime establishment media have struggled to keep silent, thrust down the Orwellian Memory Hole.  What these gracious persons often don’t realize is that in our new mass media age of the Internet, it is somewhat easier to unearth previously forbidden items which the gatekeepers of academia and the news networks once squashed. What is especially tantalizing is to find treatments of these verboten topics by the establishment media itself that somehow slipped through the cracks of censorship before the Powers-That-Be realized the gravitas of these revelations.

Consequently there are several hour long network news programs that I (and my fellow revisionist truth-tellers) have searched for in vain. Each would constitute a veritable “Holy Grail.” And we would post them for you to see in a New York minute.

Three such items come frustratingly to mind: In the Pay of the CIA: an American Dilemma, a CBS News Special Report with Mike Wallace, broadcast on March 12, 1967, which dramatically exposed the use of major private foundations as fronts for CIA financial and covert activities. Here is a glimmer of this documentary at 26:30.

The other two are the two part hour long PBS exposes’ Bill Moyers Journal: The World of David Rockefeller, which aired in 1980.  Rockefeller was the chairman of Chase Manhattan, the Council on Foreign Relations, and co-founder and chairman of the Trilateral Commission,

For more than a century, ideological extremists, at either end of the political spectrum, have seized upon well-publicized incidents, such as my encounter with Castro, to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal, working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists,’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.

— David Rockefeller, Memoirs, 2002, p. 405

“Made Man” Bill Moyers is the consummate insider, twelve years as a trustee of the Rockefeller Foundation, former director of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a member of the Bilderberg group. In his long suppressed 1980 PBS two part interview, The World of David Rockefeller, Moyers observed concerning the Machiavellian centenarian:

The unelected if indisputable chairman of the American Establishment …one of the most powerful, influential and richest men in America …[he] sits at the hub of a vast network of financiers, industrialists and politicians whose reach encircles the globe.

David Rockefeller is the most conspicuous representative today of the ruling class, a multinational fraternity of men who shape the global economy and manage the flow of its capital. Rockefeller was born to it, and he has made the most of it. But what some critics see as a vast international conspiracy, he considers a circumstance of life and just another day’s work.
