Defying Whitmer

And excellent talk from the Livingston County Sheriff on the ambiguity and disjointedness of Whitmer’s orders.

He notes that the Michigan Attorney General’s office dumped the enforcement of Whitmer’s 70+ executive orders on local police departments, and without prior communication of such, because they didn’t want their office to be deluged by the gazillion snitch calls. So the attorney general created a political ruckus and then conveniently sidestepped it.

And this is what elected officials do to the people who elected them. Public servants, right?

Sheriff Mike Murphy clearly said, “I was elected by the people of this county” and he reiterated his commitment to the people and not the political machine. He stressed that individual decisions on “staying safe” are just that, and “me enforcing an executive order isn’t going to keep any of you safe.”

This is 14 minutes, but well worth the time because it gives some insight on how some of these Sheriffs see these executive orders and the enforcement thereof. This could be very important when it comes to facing the Dark Winter and “phase 2” of the assault on liberty.
