This morning I got up early, checked my email, and had a bit of breakfast. I then went back to bed, expecting to reawake in time to see Biden’s inauguration. I evidently overslept it by about an hour and was only able to catch re-broadcasted snippets of the swearing-in ceremony and his address of banal bromides on unity, unity, unity.
The CIA has long had a device called the Psychological Stress Evaluator (PSE) which measures the human voice to determine if a person is lying. It is very different than the conventional polygraph or lie detector which measures and records several physiological indicators such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and skin conductivity while a person is asked and answers a series of questions. The PSE is a form of Voice stress analysis (VSA) and computer voice stress analysis (CVSA) which are collectively a technology that aims to infer deception from stress measured in the voice. The CVSA records the human voice using a microphone, and the technology is based on the tenet that the non-verbal, low-frequency content of the voice conveys information about the physiological and psychological state of the speaker. Typically utilized in investigative settings, the technology aims to differentiate between stressed and non-stressed outputs in response to stimuli (e.g., questions posed), with high stress seen as an indication of deception.
Former CIA agent George O’Toole utilized a PSE on the recorded excerpts of alleged JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald’s statements to the Dallas media on November 22, 1963 after he had been apprehended by the authorities and was being transferred from one location to another in Dallas police headquarters. O’Toole authored a book, The Assassination Tapes An Electronic Probe into the Murder of John F. Kennedy, about the significant results which indicated that Oswald was telling the truth when he said that he did not shoot the president and that he was a “patsy.”
Some resourceful journalist should obtain a team of experts and submit Biden’s Inaugural Address to the PSE in order to test his veracity and truthfulness.
