Defenders of the military as a great and noble institution often say that it is just a few bad apples in the military who commit sexual assault, deliberately kill civilians, enjoy killing people, commit immoral acts, etc. The problem is that there are just too many bad apples. Like this recruiter who sent a picture of his private part that some soldiers get blown off in Afghanistan to a 17-year-old girl he was trying to get to join the military. He met the student in a high school. Thank you George W. Bush and the Republicans for the No Child Left Behind Act. Girls: don’t talk to military recruiters. And don’t ever be alone with them. I suppose this is good advice for guys as well.
