Always Assume It’s A Scam

Isn’t it convenient? An investigation that will assuredly drag on for months. In the meantime, of course, the promises to fix the economy, create jobs, repeal Obamacare, and all the various “Make America Great Again” nonsense will fail to manifest. Because, gosh, we’re dealing with an investigation right now, guys!

Not to mention that it exonerates the entire government itself from actually doing anything constructive. Not that I believe they can or do. But could you have authored a better distraction for the American people than the 21st century Watergate? I guess the Syrian War was just not distracting enough. People were starting to get restless and discovering that several cities in the United States are starting to look like Aleppo, so why the concern over Syria?

I tend to think they always find these distractions when they need people to overlook the fact that the government itself is about as useless and obsolete as telegraph. Really, this government is a holdover from the telegraph era and hasn’t appreciably changed that much, except in its ability to kill tens of thousands of people quicker. When Obama’s economic recovery was detected as being a bunch of part-time jobs slinging coffee, gosh, look how quickly Syria became so important! Now that Trump cannot deliver his promises, gee, we need an investigation to lend credibility to the reason the government is paralyzed.

Look, this IS the United States government regardless of who runs it. Always Assume It’s A Scam. Jack’s Rule Number One.
