Why is it okay for people to wear Che Guevara t-shirts but not okay for people to wear NAZI apparel? Is it solely due to the racist aspect associated with the NAZI? Block says no and offers his theory behind this pervading view (See Prince Harry wearing the Swastika on Halloween and http://blog.customink.com/2013/04/customink-100-most-iconic-t-shirts-of-all-time/ which has the Che Guevara icon as the 12th most popular shirt of all time). Block analyzes the mainstream left right political spectrum and as well as a common libertarian political axis. Block conjures his version of a political spectrum one, he believes is more accurate in categorizing the political views. It, like the libertarian version has both a vertical and horizontal axis. A fundamental difference between socialism and fascism is that, the entity in question is either openly controlled (socialism) or it is “privately” owned but regulated by the state (fascism). Albeit the litmus test on regulation intensity is debatable in terms of what makes it fascist or not. The Fascism system can give the impression that the entity in question is owned by the individual rather than the state. Some, will argue that this approach is more effective for the state because it still leaves some incentive for people to work hard as opposed to the socialist run entity where profit incentive is obsolete.
