Books About the Uncivil War

A reader called my attention to a company in Georgia that publishes reprints of out-of-print books about the War Against Southern Independence, The Confederate Reprint Company. One category on the site is “De-Mythologized Lincoln,” which has these books (not found on amazon.com): The Eugenics of President Abraham Lincoln, by James Caswell Coggins (1941); Executive Power, by Benjamin Robbins Curtis (1862); Genesis of Lincoln, by James H. Cathey (1899); Why Was Lincoln Murdered?, by Otto Eisenschiml (1937); and The Real Lincoln, by Charles L.C. Minor (1927).

If you are not aware of this site (I wasn’t), check it out. They also have DVDs like “The Grey Ghost set,” a television series about ranger John Mosby, which aired in 1957-8. (CBS cancelled it after the first seaseon, 39 episodes, when “civil rights” groups protested its positive portrayal of the Confederates.)
