The IRS Harassed Jerry Lee Lewis

October 29, 2022

Lew,

Jerry Lee Lewis, one of the original rock and roll pioneers, has passed away. He went on to have a successful career in country music and sang gospel as well. I never knew about how the IRS harassed him throughout his life. The first time the IRS raided his home in 1979 and seized his clothes, his young son’s toys and even the Starck piano his parents mortgaged their shack to buy when he was eight years old.

Thanks, Ginny Garner.
