There Oughta Be A Law—Oh, Wait, There Was

The “mandates” to wear masks are wrong in so many ways. John Kremski reports on yet another: it is illegal to do so publicly in Florida.

876.12 Wearing mask, hood, or other device on public way.—No person or persons over 16 years of age shall, while wearing any mask, hood, or device whereby any portion of the face is so hidden, concealed, or covered as to conceal the identity of the wearer, enter upon, or be or appear upon any lane, walk, alley, street, road, highway, or other public way in this state.

As Mr. Kremski notes, “I understand [laws against masks are] pretty common, on the books in many states.”

Obviously, such legislation is as inimical to freedom as the mandates in their favor. But still, Our Rulers’ ignoring their own previous decrees mightily testifies to their lust for controlling us.

Meanwhile, don’t laws trump mandates? And isn’t convincing, let alone compelling, someone to break a law criminal?
