Two weeks ago I was visiting the VA hospital in Madison Wisconsin. Stopping in to the retail store to purchase some Haines boxer shorts I noticed they are made in Vietnam. On the end cap of the same shelf unit were hats proudly announcing the wearer served in Vietnam. Glad to know brothers of my generation died so we can purchase cheap underwear today. Remember, we were fighting to prevent the advance of communism, we were told.
This is a good a reason as any other as to why U.S. soldiers died in Vietnam. They certainly didn’t die fighting for our freedoms.
