… a Republican president will appoint “good” federal judges and a Republican-controlled Senate will confirm them. Or at least this is the line of bull that we are told before every election. Federal Judge Callie Granade, a George W. Bush appointee, recently struck down Alabama’s ban on same-sex marriage as unconstitutional. She was appointed on the recommendations of Alabama Senators Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby (both Republicans), and was confirmed by a Republican-controlled Senate. And conservative Christians think that the Republicans are our saviors.
N.B.: I am not a “brain dead conservative” because I am not actively promoting gay marriage like some libertarians. And I consider that epithet a grave insult.
