Woke Culture Is Going To Be Wrapped in an American Flag and a MAGA Hat

The RNC Theater

As the RNC came to a close in Milwaukee, many were simply focused on Donald Trump considering his assassination attempt on July 16. But taking a closer look at the other speakers, we can read a not-so-subtle theme of it all. Compared to the RNCs of the past, such as Mitt Romneys in 2012, this one presented many more entertaining characters, such as WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan, who ripped his shirt during his speech; even Trump’s own arrival gives the look of the beginning of a WWE match.

Underneath the theatricality lies a message Americans have been hearing for decades: diversity is our strength, come as you are, and perhaps unions aren’t as bad as they seem. But these were not virtue-signaling leftists; these were speakers at the RNC endorsing a Trump candidacy. Analyzing the speakers in depth, we can understand their message. Surprise, Kill, Vanish... Diversity is Our Strength

One of the speakers during the first night of the RNC was a former stripper and American “model,” Amber Rose. The model part of her career comes from the fact that she is on OnlyFans and describes it as “going back to her roots”. During her speech, she described herself as formerly anti-Trump, but after doing her own research, she had found her people. She says the following on how accepting MAGA is:

“People have to do their research, I watched all the rallies and started meeting so many of you, his red hat wearing supporters. I realized Donald Trump and his supporters don’t care if you’re black, gay, white, or straight. It’s all love, and that’s when it hit me, these are my people.

Many conservatives, such as Matt Walsh, complained that it was wrong to give a “prime time convention speaking slot to one of the founders of the slut walk.” In response, PragerU employee and gay black man Xaviaer DuRouseau responded that there was nothing wrong with Amber Rose’s speech because all she was doing was telling the audience to “look into conservative values.”

Anyone can try to guess what conservative values he is talking about, but one thing is clear: the old-school Republican conservatism is taking a backseat in this election.

Finally, at the close of the first night, Harmeet Dhillon, a Sikh republican lawyer, led a Sikh prayer called the Ardas. It’s hard to imagine any of this happening during the years of George Bush or John Mcain, but the Republican Party is taking on a new role and moving away from traditional conservatism. The MAGA movement is trying to paint itself as the movement of open arms, where it doesn’t matter what you are, as long as you are a patriot.

MAGA Socialism

Joining forces with egalitarianism is the old and unchanging policies of socialism. Sean O’brian, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, spoke at the RNC, being the first teamster president ever to do so. What was the reason for this change of heart among this big labor leader?

Listening to his speech, one point was being made: the Teamsters Union wants to extend an olive branch to President Trump for the benefit of the American worker, and no doubt for the benefit of Trump’s election. This was first seen at the very beginning of President O’Brians speech when he attacked big business, big tech, and Washington, D.C. He stated:

“You know what I see, an American worker being taken for granted, workers being sold out to big banks, big tech, corporatists and the elite. I am not the only one who sees this, everyday families see it, the American people aren’t stupid, they know the system is broken. We all know how Washington is run, working people have no chance of winning this fight. That’s why I’m here today.”

It may have been surprising to see after this, members of the crowd holding up fists to signal solidarity, this being at the convention of a party that claims to uphold free market principles. Instead, the MAGA movement has opened its arms to unions despite their history of failure. However, this keeps with the convention theme of open arms. Even President O’Brian mentioned this:

“When President Trump invited me to speak at this convention, there was political unrest, on the left and on the right. Anti-union groups demanded the president resend his invitation, the left called me a traitor. This is precisely why it’s so important for me to be here today. Think about this, the teamsters doing something correct, if the extremes of both parties don’t want me on this stage.”

Trump himself was never an ally to free markets; as president, he had constantly proved himself to be ignorant of economic realities. Trump had appointed Jerome Powell as Chairman of the Federal Reserve and demanded he push interest rates into the negatives while also being responsible for adding $8.4 trillion to the national debt.

Trump is not a radical thinker; he is at best a moderate liberal with policies that differ little from those of the past forty years. But after his attempted assassination, the world is preparing for a Trump presidency, and so is the regime.

The Unchanging Status Quo

Contrasting the hundreds that came out to see Kamala Harris in Carlisle, PA, and the thousands that came to see Trump in Butler, PA. Absorbing Trump’s movement and thousands of supporters is what the regime needs to obtain popular support.

Progressive policies wrapped in an American flag can rally more people than the past eight years of pride can do. Of course, the status quo will remain the same. After the anti-Israeli college protests throughout America, many colleges saw wealthy donors such as Ken Griffin stopping their donations because of these protests. This same Ken Griffin, who is now donating to the Republican Party, had also donated to President Biden in the past. Although he has not donated to Trump, many new wealthy donors have moved to Trump’s camp and donated $50 million.

Trump picking JD Vance as his running mate no doubt will help create further support; the New York Times has said that “Mr. Vance has been a steadfast supporter of Israel throughout the country’s war in Gaza, defending its wartime policies.” He also led a group of senators to send money only to Israel instead of Ukraine. America cannot fight this war on two fronts forever; to the elite in charge, Israel is of far greater importance than Ukraine. In the end, the wars and the money will continue to flow, and the ‘woke’ will have a new red hat.
