United Airlines must have the dumbest corporate management on earth if they’re suing a man for assisting travelers in finding cheaper airfares. The demand for leisure air travel is “elastic.” This means that when the price goes down by say, 10%, the increased ticket sales caused by the price reduction will be more than 10%. The reduced revenue on each ticket sale is swamped by the increased revenue from more tickets sold. Revenue increases on net. Therefore, the blogger who is helping United Airline customers find cheaper fares is probably making money for United Airlines. If anything, they should pay the guy a consulting fee rather than suing him for what these corporate crooks and bullies apparently believe to be their God-given “right” to plunder the pockets of air travelers.
