After hearing from young people that a smartphone and a tiny Bose speaker was the only music system they needed, I bought my own Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker from Amazon. Easily paired, with voice prompts, with my iPhone, the sound is rich and brilliant, and so is the design. I chose black, but it comes in other colors, too, and has a bluetooth range of about 30 feet as well as a long-lasting (up to 8 hours), recharcheable battery. I use it for music, podcasts, and audiobooks. Needless to say, it goes anywhere.
